Rangers are employed by Council to enforce laws and local policies. This is important in order to protect and enhance our natural environment and protect our way of life. Council's Ranger Services include such functions as:

  • Patrols and marking of car parks
  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Rubbish dumping
  • Littering
  • On-street parking and works surveillance
  • Obstructions of footpaths
  • Heavy vehicle compliance on local roads
  • Investigation of pollution events
  • Companion Animals
  • Stock Control

Council’s main focus is to have a community where everybody enjoys the same rights as each other. If your actions unreasonably affect others then Council will be present to rectify this.
